Participation Guide

"Listening is about being present, not just about being quiet."

— Krista Tippett

1. Be on Time: Show up on time, or even a few minutes early (the Instructor will always be on about five minutes before the start-time), to get settled and prepared.

Have your notes and book ready within reach, as well as anything you need, like water, coffee, tea, and a snack.

2. Technology Etiquette: As much as you can, keep your camera on during the Zoom call, and your microphone off when you are not speaking.

Raise your hand when you want to speak or jump into a part of the conversation, even as the dialogue will naturally flow and there will be back and forth between members.

We encourage using emojis, reactions, and the chat box to share thoughts.

3. Taking Breaks: If you need to take a break, step out, use the restroom, or turn your camera off at any point in time, you are absolutely welcome to do that.

Take care of yourselves; the discussion will be there when you are ready to come back!

4. Review Session Structure & Cohort Flow: Before our sessions, feel free to refer to both the Cohort Flow and Session Structure so you know what to expect as we go!
