Marisa Lainson is the Instructor of the Pride and Prejudice cohorts. She is a writer, editor and educator with a passion for media literacy, rhetorical argument and both classic and contemporary literature, and a Founding Instructor of The New Commons.

She holds an MFA in English from the University of California, Irvine, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2022 and taught writing, rhetoric and research as a graduate instructor.
